Captain Cook Monument Snorkeling
Big Island, United States
About This Activity
Take a boat tour to Captain Cook Monument in Kealakekua Bay, where the famous explorer was killed in 1779. The bay has excellent snorkeling with vibrant coral reefs, tropical fish, and spinner dolphins. The protected waters are teeming with marine life. Half-day tours ($130-180) depart from Kona and typically include gear, breakfast, and lunch. Book in advance as the bay limits daily visitors.
Seasonal note: Calmest May-Sep
