Arlington National Cemetery is the final resting place of over 400,000 service members, spanning 639 acres across the Potomac from the Lincoln Memorial. President Kennedy's gravesite with its eternal flame is one of Washington's most visited sites. The Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier occurs every 30 minutes (Apr-Sep) or every hour (Oct-Mar).
