About This Activity

The National Gallery's West Building holds the only Leonardo da Vinci painting in the Americas — Ginevra de' Benci — alongside Vermeers, Rembrandts, and El Grecos. The I.M. Pei-designed East Building features Picasso, Matisse, Rothko, and Calder's massive mobile in a soaring atrium. Free admission always. Not technically part of the Smithsonian, but located on the Mall alongside them.

Seasonal note: Open year-round; closed Christmas and New Year's Day
