About This Activity
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum stands on Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh read Vietnam's Declaration of Independence in 1945. Visitors queue silently in modest dress to view the embalmed body inside the granite structure. The surrounding complex includes his simple stilted house, a lotus pond, the Presidential Palace (exterior only), and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Open Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat & Sun mornings only (7:30–10:30am Apr–Oct; 8:00–11:00am Nov–Mar). Closed Monday and Friday. Annual closure for maintenance runs approximately June–August. Free entry.
Seasonal note: Closed for annual maintenance approximately June–August when Ho Chi Minh's body is sent to Russia for preservation. Closed Mon and Fri year-round.
