About This Activity

Depart San Pedro at 4 AM to reach El Tatio (4,320m altitude) at sunrise, when the cold air makes the 80+ geysers most dramatic — columns of steam rise meters into the air against the pink dawn sky. The field is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. After watching the spectacle, soak in a warm thermal pool before returning via the altiplano. Entrance fee CLP 15,000 cash only, usually included in tour price.
