About This Activity

SPACE (San Pedro de Atacama Celestial Explorations), operating since 2003, was the first dedicated astronomical tourism observatory in the Atacama. Sessions of up to 15 guests use large-aperture telescopes to resolve Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, star clusters, and distant nebulae under the guidance of professional astronomers. Tours run every night except the seven nights around the full moon, departing at dusk from their observatory near the village center.
