Pakleni Islands Boat Tour
Hvar, Croatia
About This Activity
The Pakleni Islands (Paklinski otoci) form an archipelago of 16 small islands immediately offshore from Hvar Town, with some of the clearest water in the Adriatic. Water taxis depart from Hvar harbor throughout the day in summer, dropping passengers at the main stops: Palmižana (a bohemian beach club with a botanical garden and restaurant), Marinkovac (popular Stipanska beach), and Vlaka (quieter swimming coves). Water taxi fares run approximately €6 return per person depending on the island. The islands are car-free and mostly uninhabited, with trails through pine, rosemary, and myrtle — renting a small boat from Hvar harbor gives complete independence to discover hidden coves.
Seasonal note: Water taxis operate May–October; peak season Jul–Aug sees beach clubs busy by mid-morning — leave early
