About This Activity

The Dome of the Rock is one of the most recognisable structures in the world — an octagonal shrine topped by a gleaming golden dome, built in 691 CE. The Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif) is the holiest site in Judaism and the third holiest in Islam. Non-Muslims enter through the Mughrabi Gate only: Sun-Thu, summer 7:30-11am and 1:30-2:30pm, winter 7:30-10:30am and 12:30-1:30pm. Closed Fri-Sat. Entry to shrines is not permitted for non-Muslims. Modest dress strictly required. Hours change at short notice for security reasons.

Seasonal note: Year-round but access hours are limited and can change without notice. Closed Fri-Sat and Muslim holidays.
