Use this unscheduled block to do what the itinerary hasn't covered. Manarola at sunrise (before 8am) has almost no other visitors for the iconic cliffside shot from the viewing platform above the harbour. The rocky swimming area below Riomaggiore is a local favourite for cliff jumping (free). The Via dell'Amore — the romantic seaside promenade between Riomaggiore and Manarola, re-opened in 2024 — now requires advance booking with a timed entry slot (included in some Cinque Terre Card versions). Gelato in Vernazza's harbour piazza is a non-negotiable finale to any Cinque Terre day.
