About This Activity

The Via Appia Antica (Appian Way) is one of Rome's most scenic escapes — a 4.5-hour guided bike ride down the ancient Roman road past the Catacombs of San Sebastiano, the Circus of Maxentius, and the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, then across fields of wheat and wildflowers beneath a row of 11 surviving aqueduct arches. E-bikes are available. Route is mostly flat (occasional rough cobblestone sections). Groups max 15. Guided in English; departures 9 AM.

Seasonal note: Best spring and autumn; avoid summer midday heat
