Borghese Gardens Family Bike Ride in Rome
Rome, Italy
About This Activity
Villa Borghese's 80 hectares of shaded paths, fountains, and lawns make it Rome's best family cycling spot. Rent standard bikes, child seats, or four-person surrey carts (€12-18/hour) at the Pincio entrance near Piazza del Popolo. The flat, car-free circuit passes the Giardino del Lago (rowboat rentals), a playground near Piazza di Siena, and a panoramic terrace overlooking Piazza del Popolo. Stop for gelato at the lakeside kiosk. Children under 6 ride free in attached child seats.
Seasonal note: Year-round; most pleasant in spring and autumn
