Rome Gladiator School Experience
Rome, Italy
About This Activity
The Historic Group of Rome runs 2-hour gladiator training sessions where participants don a Roman tunic, belt, and leather gloves, then learn sword and shield combat techniques used in actual Colosseum fights. The session covers three fighting styles (retiarius, secutor, and murmillo) with wooden practice weapons, followed by a staged duel. Children 8 and up are welcome alongside adults. Located near the Colosseum in the Appian Way area.
Seasonal note: Year-round; summer sessions held indoors
