The Ghibli Museum in Mitaka (25 min from Shinjuku by train) immerses fans in the world of Studio Ghibli — rooms layered with original concept art, an exclusive short film shown only here, the rooftop robot warrior, and the beloved Catbus room. Adult admission is ¥1,000; tickets must be reserved exactly one month in advance — they sell out in minutes via Lawson ticket system on the 10th of each month at 10 am Japan time. Overseas visitors can also book through JTB or Klook at a premium.
