About This Activity

Takeshita Street in Harajuku is Tokyo's most theatrical food and fashion street — 350 meters of crepe stands, cotton candy carts, bubble tea shops, and youth fashion boutiques packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Marion Crepes has served hand-rolled crepes since 1976 (¥400–700); other highlights include fluffy souffle pancakes, monster-sized rainbow candy floss, and Japanese-style bubble tea. The street is busiest on weekends and is best experienced mid-morning before queues form. From Harajuku Station it's a 2-minute walk. Combine with a stroll through nearby Omotesando for a contrast in Tokyo's dual fashion identities.

Seasonal note: Year-round; most lively on weekends; arrive before noon
