About This Activity
Street Kart (formerly MariCar) lets you drive a go-kart on Tokyo's public roads while dressed as your favorite character. Tours depart from locations in Akihabara, Shibuya, Asakusa, and Shinagawa — groups of 6–15 karts follow a guide who knows the route. You need an international driver's license. Tours cost around ¥8,000–¥12,000 per person including a costume. Exhilarating, noisy, and genuinely unlike anything else in Japan.
