Wadi Rum Jeep Safari
Wadi Rum, Jordan
About This Activity
A Jeep safari is the essential Wadi Rum experience — the only practical way to cover the vast distances between the protected area's key landmarks. Departing from Rum Village, guides drive through a landscape of other-worldly scale: 300-metre sandstone and granite mountains rising from a flat desert floor of rust-red sand, ancient rock-carved Thamudic and Nabataean inscriptions, natural stone arches, Bedouin springs, and silence broken only by wind. Half-day tours (3-4 hours) cover the main highlights; full-day tours (6-8 hours) reach the more remote arches and dunes including Um Frouth Rock Bridge and Burdah Arch. Jordan Pass does not cover jeep tours; prices start around 25 JD per person for a half-day.
