Polynesian Spa Rotorua
Rotorua, New Zealand
About This Activity
New Zealand's most famous thermal spa sits on the shores of Lake Rotorua, established in 1966 and drawing over a million visitors annually. The Polynesian Spa features multiple pools ranging from 38–42°C, with alkaline (silky, skin-softening) and acidic (mineral-rich) waters fed by natural hot springs. The Deluxe Lake Spa pools sit right on the lake edge — steam rising against open water — from NZ$79.95 per adult. Pavilion Adult Pools (12+) from NZ$49.95. Arrive at opening (8am) or after 3pm for the shortest queues. Private lake-view pools are available from NZ$54.95 for a more secluded experience.
Seasonal note: Open year-round; most atmospheric in cooler months (May–Sep) when the steam contrasts with cool air; advance booking recommended in summer
