San Francisco Chinatown
San Francisco, Pacific Coast Highway
About This Activity
San Francisco's Chinatown is the oldest in North America and one of the most densely populated neighborhoods outside of Asia. Enter through the ornate Dragon Gate on Grant Avenue and explore 20+ blocks of shops, bakeries, temples, and restaurants. Try dim sum at one of the classic parlors, visit the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory, and wander the atmospheric alleys like Ross and Waverly Place. The adjacent Union Square area offers upscale shopping.
Seasonal note: Year-round; Chinese New Year parade (Feb) is spectacular
