About This Activity

San Francisco's western edge offers stunning coastal trails that feel worlds away from the city. The Lands End trail is the crown jewel — a 3.4-mile path along rugged cliffs with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, and the Pacific. Visit the haunting ruins of Sutro Baths, a massive 1896 bathhouse. Continue to Baker Beach for the best bridge photo spots, or walk down to Ocean Beach for 3.5 miles of uninterrupted sand. All trails are free.

Seasonal note: Year-round; fall has warmest and clearest weather; can be windy
