Ti Top Island Viewpoint Hike, Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
About This Activity
Ti Top Island was named by Ho Chi Minh in honor of Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov, who visited in 1962. The island offers Ha Long Bay's finest panoramic viewpoint: 400+ stone steps lead in 20–30 minutes to a circular summit platform with 360-degree views of karsts, cruise boats, and open bay. Late afternoon light is ideal for photography. A small sandy beach at the base is good for a swim before or after the climb. Included in most overnight cruise itineraries — if not listed, ask your cruise operator to add it.
Seasonal note: Year-round; steps can be slippery in wet weather. Best light for summit views is late afternoon.
