About This Activity

At the junction of Luong Ngoc Quyen and Dinh Liet Streets, hundreds of plastic stools spill out each evening around barrels of bia hoi — freshly brewed, lightly alcoholic draught beer at 5,000–10,000 VND (~$0.20–0.40) a glass. Brewed daily with no preservatives, each barrel must be sold by closing time, creating an energetically convivial scene. Order snacks from adjacent stalls (fried tofu, peanuts, dried squid) and watch the neighborhood ignite. Best visited from around 5pm; the corner is most alive on Friday and Saturday nights.

Seasonal note: Year-round; cool evenings (Oct–Mar) make the open-air seating especially pleasant.
