Dolac Market & Old Town Walk
Zagreb, Croatia
About This Activity
Dolac Market has been Zagreb's culinary heart since 1930, spreading across an elevated terrace above Ban Jelačić Square every morning. Stalls overflow with seasonal fruit and vegetables, island cheeses, cured meats, honey, and cut flowers; the attached indoor hall houses fishmongers and dairy vendors. After the market, walk down to the main square centered on the equestrian statue of Ban Jelačić — Zagreb's social hub. Best visited early morning (opens 7am on weekdays) when stalls are freshest and the market most lively before tourist hours. The market is free to browse; closed Sunday afternoons.
