Museum of Broken Relationships
Zagreb, Croatia
About This Activity
Born in Zagreb and now world-famous, the Museum of Broken Relationships displays personal objects donated by people across the globe, each item accompanied by the story of a lost love. The collection ranges from absurd to heartbreaking — a wedding dress, a toaster, an axe — and collectively creates a meditation on impermanence and human connection. Winner of the Council of Europe's Museum Prize, this is one of Zagreb's most memorable cultural experiences. The 18th-century baroque Kulmer Palace setting in the Upper Town adds to the contemplative atmosphere. Admission is €7 (students and seniors €5.50); open daily year-round.
