About This Activity

Amer Fort (1592) is Rajasthan's finest fort-palace complex — a UNESCO-listed amber sandstone citadel 11 km from Jaipur, perched above Maota Lake. The Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) is its masterpiece: a single candle-flame reflects in thousands of inlaid mirror-pieces across the ceiling and walls. The Diwan-i-Khas, Jas Mandir, and Sukh Niwas are equally spectacular. Take a jeep up (₹250 round-trip) and walk the ramparts; buy tickets in advance via the Rajasthan Tourism portal to avoid queues.

Seasonal note: Oct–Mar ideal; the fort is very exposed and gets very hot in summer (Apr–Jun). Open year-round, light-and-sound show runs evenings.
