About This Activity

Johari Bazaar (Jewellers' Market) is the epicentre of Jaipur's global gem trade — the city is the world's largest centre for coloured gemstone cutting. The lane is lined with kundan, meenakari, and polki jewellers. A short walk away, Bapu Bazaar is the best place for hand-block-printed fabrics: bedcovers, kurtas, and dupattas in indigo, saffron, and red at factory-gate prices. Lac bangle makers between Hawa Mahal and City Palace will custom-fit bangles in minutes. Most shops open 10am–8pm, closed Sundays.

Seasonal note: Open year-round except Sundays when most shops close. Oct–Mar is comfortable; the lanes can be very hot in summer.
