Juhu Beach Sunset & Street Food
Mumbai, India
About This Activity
Juhu Beach, stretching 6 km through Mumbai's northern suburbs, explodes into life from 4:30 PM as families, street food vendors, and evening walkers converge for sunset. Stalls line the sand selling bhelpuri, pani puri, pav bhaji, and fresh corn — all for well under ₹200 total. Bollywood star homes back onto the northern end of the beach. The nearby ISKCON temple (free entry) is an easy add-on. During Ganesh Chaturthi (August/September) idols are immersed here in a spectacular community ritual.
Seasonal note: Best November–March for cool, breezy evenings. Monsoon (June–September) brings rough surf that closes swimming; vendors still operate but atmosphere is subdued. Ganesh Chaturthi (Aug–Sep) brings the beach to extraordinary festive life.
