About This Activity

Akshardham (2005) is a stunning BAPS monument of pink sandstone and marble hand-carved by 11,000 artisans with 20,000 statues and 234 intricately decorated pillars — no steel or concrete was used. Temple entry is free; optional paid exhibitions (₹260/adult) include life-size animatronic scenes of Swaminarayan Sahajanand's life and a boat ride through 10,000 years of Indian heritage. No photography inside. Closed Mondays; allow 30–45 min for security screening on entry.

Seasonal note: Open year-round except Mondays. Closed on Mondays. The outdoor areas are hot in summer; interior is partially air-conditioned.
