About This Activity

The National Museum on Janpath holds over 200,000 artefacts spanning 5,000 years — Harappan bronze dancing girl figurines (c.2500 BCE), Chola Nataraja bronzes, Mughal miniature paintings, Buddhist manuscripts, and much more. An audio guide in English is available for ₹100 extra and is worth taking. Open 10am–6pm, closed Mondays and gazetted holidays; an ideal air-conditioned refuge during summer afternoons.

Seasonal note: Open year-round except Mondays. Good year-round activity; especially valuable as an air-conditioned escape during hot months (Apr–Jun).
