About This Activity

Jatiluwih is Bali's largest and most scenic rice terrace system, spanning 600 hectares of UNESCO-recognised subak landscapes in the Tabanan Regency. Unlike the more visited Tegallalang terraces near Ubud, Jatiluwih offers a genuinely immersive walk through working paddies with panoramic views of Mount Batukaru behind. Several well-maintained walking trails range from 1.5km to 7km, winding between the rice fields at various elevations. Arrive early morning for the best light and cooler temperatures. Local warungs along the trail serve cold drinks and rice dishes overlooking the terraces.
