About This Activity
Sanur's sheltered east-facing beach is Bali's premier sunrise destination, where the Indian Ocean is calm and the sky turns spectacular without the crowds of Kuta or Seminyak. The 5km beachside promenade connects Sanur's villages through shaded garden paths, passing local fishing boats, beach cafes, and Hindu shrines. Morning brings joggers, cyclists, and families collecting offerings. The beach is ideal for a gentle swim in the calm lagoon behind the reef, and the local market just inland is worth exploring for fresh juice and Balinese breakfast dishes. Sanur is also the main departure port for fast boats to Nusa Penida.
