About This Activity

The Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary was the seat of the kings of Munster for centuries and hosts a superb cluster of Romanesque and Gothic ruins on a limestone outcrop. Adult admission is approximately €8 (Heritage Ireland). From there, Kilkenny is 45 minutes further: Kilkenny Castle, the Black Abbey, and St. Canice's Cathedral with its 9th-century round tower fill several hours. Guided coach tours depart Cork; self-drivers allow a full 8-hour day.

* Rock of Cashel * Kilkenny Castle * Black Abbey * St. Canice Cathedral

Seasonal note: Open year-round; best Apr-Oct for weather and extended hours
