About This Activity

The Tower of David Museum occupies the ancient Jaffa Gate citadel, with foundations dating to the Hasmonean period and additions by Herod, the Crusaders, Mamelukes, and Ottomans. The museum traces Jerusalem's history through archaeological finds, scale models, and multimedia exhibits. The night light show projected onto the citadel's stones is one of the most dramatic experiences in the city (55 NIS separately). Museum entry is 30 NIS; the ramparts offer excellent views over the Old City roofline.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Night light show is a separate ticketed event.
