Waitemata Harbour Sailing Cruise
Auckland, New Zealand
About This Activity
Auckland earned the 'City of Sails' title with one yacht per 3.5 residents — one of the highest boat-per-capita ratios on Earth. Explore Group's Pride of Auckland runs 1.5-hour harbour cruises departing from the Quay Street kiosk, taking in the Viaduct, North Shore coastline, and views towards the volcanic islands. Guests can assist in crewing the yacht on request. Adult tickets are NZ$110; sunset sails are the most popular departure. Book in advance during summer.
Seasonal note: Sailings run year-round but NZ summer (Nov–Apr) offers the best weather and the most frequent departures.
