Larco Museum
Lima, Peru
About This Activity
The Larco Museum houses over 45,000 pre-Columbian artifacts in an 18th-century vice-royal mansion in Pueblo Libre. Its gold and silver treasury, erotic pottery gallery, and open-access storage vaults (where thousands of additional pieces are on view) make it Peru's most impressive museum. Beautifully manicured gardens and a well-regarded on-site café round out the visit. Admission is S/40 (~$11–18 USD depending on current exchange rate); open daily 9 AM–7 PM.
Seasonal note: Year-round, daily 9 AM–7 PM; Jun–Aug garúa season won't affect an indoor museum visit. Book skip-the-line tickets online.
