About This Activity
The most accessible district of Canyonlands National Park, Island in the Sky sits on a broad mesa 1,000 feet above the surrounding terrain. The 34-mile scenic drive (Grand View Point Road + Upheaval Dome Road) passes spectacular overlooks of the Colorado and Green River canyons. Must-see stops: Mesa Arch (0.5-mile loop, iconic sunrise photo spot), Grand View Point (2-mile round trip), Green River Overlook, and Upheaval Dome. Park entrance is $30/vehicle (7-day pass). Island in the Sky is 30 minutes from Moab and pairs well with a morning at Arches and an afternoon here, or vice versa.
