About This Activity
Dead Horse Point State Park towers 2,000 feet above the Colorado River and offers 17 miles of singletrack on the Intrepid Trail System (plus 6 additional miles added in 2025). The trails wind through juniper and pinyon pine with panoramic views of Canyonlands. Mostly easy-to-intermediate terrain, perfect for mountain biking newcomers. The park also has a spectacular overlook used as a filming location for Westworld and Thelma & Louise. State park entry is $20/vehicle. Bike rentals available at the park through Bighorn Mountain Biking. Combine with a visit to the overlook for a half-day outing.
