About This Activity

Arches was certified as an International Dark Sky Park in 2019. On moonless nights, see 2,500+ stars framed by sandstone arches and fins. Best stargazing spots include Balanced Rock, the Windows section, and Garden of Eden. The park is open 24 hours, but timed-entry tickets are not required after 4 PM (April-October) or at all November-March. Outside the park, Dead Horse Point State Park also offers excellent dark skies. Commercial stargazing tours with high-powered telescopes run from Moab ($60-80/person). Free with park admission.
