Centro Cultural Recoleta — Free Art & Performances
Buenos Aires, Argentina
About This Activity
The Centro Cultural Recoleta occupies a converted 18th-century Franciscan convent directly adjacent to the cemetery, refurbished by renowned architect Clorindo Testa. Its 27 exhibition rooms rotate contemporary art, design, and photography shows throughout the year, all free to enter. The complex also includes a micro-cinema, auditorium, outdoor amphitheatre, and connects to the city's sculpture garden. Pair it with a cemetery visit next door for an unbeatable afternoon in the Recoleta neighborhood.
Seasonal note: Open year-round; indoor galleries make this a great rainy-day option
