Floralis Generica & Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes
Buenos Aires, Argentina
About This Activity
Floralis Generica is a 23-meter stainless steel flower sculpture in Plaza de las Naciones Unidas whose petals open at dawn and close at dusk (solar-powered mechanism). It's one of Buenos Aires' most photographed landmarks. Just across the avenue, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes houses Argentina's finest art collection — including works by Rodin, Monet, Renoir, and major Argentine artists — all with free admission. Combined with a walk through Recoleta's elegant Avenida Alvear, this makes a refined cultural morning.
Seasonal note: Year-round; museum closed Mondays.
