The Jardín Japonés de Buenos Aires in Palermo is the largest Japanese garden in Latin America, donated by the Japanese-Argentine community in 1967. The 5.5-hectare park features a koi pond with a red arched bridge, Zen rock gardens, a bonsai collection, and a traditional tea house serving matcha and mochi. Entry for non-residents is approximately $14 USD (around ARS 13,500 at current rates); residents pay less with DNI. Open daily 10am–6:45pm. An especially scenic retreat in spring (Sep–Oct) when sakura-type flowering trees bloom.
