About This Activity
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the highest-altitude zoo in the US at 6,800 feet, built into a mountainside with sweeping views of Colorado Springs. The standout experience is hand-feeding the giraffe herd — one of North America's largest. Other highlights include the Rocky Mountain Wild exhibit, Encounter Africa, and the Mountaineer Sky Ride chairlift to the Will Rogers Shrine. Open daily year-round 9 AM–5 PM. Timed tickets required; peak admission (Fri–Sun, late May–Sep) is $34.75 for adults, $29.75 for kids 3–11; off-peak from $14.75. The Electric Safari holiday lights (Nov–Jan) is a beloved local tradition.
