About This Activity
The United States Air Force Academy welcomes visitors daily with free, self-guided tours of its scenic 18,500-acre campus. The Cadet Chapel (currently closed for repairs, projected reopening 2027) is an iconic modernist landmark with 17 aluminum spires. Visitors can access overlooks, the Honor Court, Arnold Hall, and the Cadet Field House. If your timing is right, catch the cadet lunch formation (3 days/week, 11:30 AM - noon). A new Hosmer Visitor Center is scheduled to open mid-May 2026. The campus grounds offer mountain views and a glimpse into military academy life. Open daily; visitor center hours Mon-Fri 9 AM - 4 PM, weekends 10 AM - 3 PM.
