Manitou Springs is a quirky, art-filled mountain town nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. Taste your way through eight natural mineral springs scattered around downtown, each with a distinct flavor. The legendary Penny Arcade houses over 500 vintage and modern arcade machines across several buildings — free to enter, just bring quarters. Adventurous visitors can tackle the Manitou Incline, a brutal 2,744-step climb gaining 2,000 feet in under a mile (the full loop with Barr Trail descent is ~4.5 miles). The main street is lined with independent galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. The Cog Railway to Pikes Peak departs from here.
