About This Activity
The Dubrovnik cable car ascends 405m in under 4 minutes from just outside Pile Gate to the summit of Mount Srđ, delivering what is arguably the finest view of any city in the Mediterranean. The Old Town spreads out below like a perfectly ordered jewel box of limestone and terracotta, ringed by its famous walls and embraced by the intensely blue Adriatic. At the top, the panoramic restaurant and the ruins of Napoleonic Fort Imperial — housing a museum of the 1991–92 Homeland War — reward time spent lingering. Go at sunset for dramatically lit golden rooftops. Note: the cable car closes annually for maintenance until 1 April.
