About This Activity

Buža Bar ('buža' means 'hole in the wall') is arguably the most dramatic bar setting in Europe — a cliff-side terrace reached through a literal hole in Dubrovnik's medieval walls, where plastic chairs rest on natural rock ledges above the open Adriatic. There are two Bužas (Mala Buža and Buža 2) — Buža 2 serves cocktails (~€22.50 each) while Mala Buža offers bottled beer and wine; neither accepts reservations and both are cash-only. Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to claim a perch. As the sun drops into the sea behind the islands, turning the water gold and pink, you'll understand why this is a mandatory Dubrovnik experience.

Seasonal note: Best enjoyed April–October; summer crowds peak Jul–Aug — arrive early for a good rock perch
