Cinque Terre Day Trip from Florence by Train
Florence, Italy
About This Activity
The five villages of Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso) cling to coastal cliffs 2.5 hours from Florence by train via La Spezia. The classic Sentiero Azzurro coastal trail connects all five (entry requires a Cinque Terre Card, €7.50-16 depending on number of trails), though sections can close seasonally. Alternatively, take the local train or ferry between villages. Vernazza and Manarola offer the best photography spots. Start early — villages get very crowded by midday in summer.
Seasonal note: Trails close in heavy rain; April-June best for wildflowers
