Galleria dell'Accademia & Michelangelo's David, Florence
Florence, Italy
About This Activity
The Galleria dell'Accademia holds Michelangelo's David — the 5.17-metre marble masterpiece carved 1501–1504 and considered the pinnacle of Renaissance sculpture. Tickets are €20 (plus €4 booking fee); from March 2026 a new combined ticket with the Bargello Museum costs €26 for 48-hour access to both. Book well ahead as this is one of Florence's most booked attractions. Closed Mondays. The gallery is small enough to cover in 90 minutes; David's hall alone justifies the visit.
Seasonal note: Fewer queues Jan–Mar and Oct–Nov; closed Mondays; free admission on April 25, June 2, November 4, and first Sunday of each month in 2026
