About This Activity
Shotover Jet is one of New Zealand's most iconic adventure experiences and the only commercial jet boat operator permitted in the Shotover River Canyons. The boats reach 85km/h and navigate within centimetres of the canyon walls, performing full 360-degree spins on the open river. The 25-minute ride through three canyons is genuinely thrilling — the schist rock walls are real and close. The canyon was a gold-rush site in the 1860s. Adult tickets cost NZ$179; return shuttle from central Queenstown is included. Operates year-round in all weather from Arthur's Point, 10 minutes from town.
