Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
Cape Town, South Africa
About This Activity
Kirstenbosch is consistently ranked among the world's top botanical gardens — a 528-hectare celebration of South Africa's unique plant life on the forested eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The 'Boomslang' tree canopy walkway snakes through the treetops for 130 metres, offering views into the garden and up the mountain. A remarkable fynbos biome display showcases the staggering plant diversity of the Cape Floristic Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with more plant species per square kilometre than anywhere on earth. Sunday afternoon summer concerts make for a wonderful Cape Town tradition.
