About This Activity

Haeundae Beach is South Korea's most visited beach — a 1.5km crescent of golden sand backed by luxury skyscraper hotels, shopping malls, and seafood restaurants. The annual Sand Festival (June) brings giant sand sculptures, while the Busan International Film Festival (October) uses the beachfront as a festival hub. Outside peak season the beach is serene, with dawn cafés and local joggers. The Marine City area to the east offers the best skyline views, particularly dramatic when lit after dark. Completely free; accessible via Haeundae Station (Metro Line 2).

Seasonal note: Year-round for beach walks; swimming season July–August. Sand Festival in June, BIFF in October make shoulder seasons lively.
